Harmonic Mitigation/ Power Factor Correction

Harmonic distortion of the electrical supply is becoming an increasing problem caused by the electronic interface now used to control most loads. In many cases these same loads are also sensitive to this distortion and failure or unreliable performance can result. The effect of power factor correction on harmonic distortion in electrical networks is also an important issue, which needs to be addressed.
